Choosing a high school involves two decisions, and we know the second one — can we afford it? — often weighs heavier than the first. This page is meant to take that weight off early.
Saint George Academy was founded to educate the children of refugees newly arrived in the United States — families who came with talent, faith, and determination, and very little else.
Making an excellent education possible for families regardless of their means isn't a policy we adopted; it is the reason we exist. Read on to see how tuition works here, how aid is decided, and why cost should be the last reason a family doesn't visit.
Tuition for the 2027–28 academic year is $17,500 — kept intentionally low for a private college-preparatory school in Manhattan, and for the majority of our families, need-based aid brings the real cost significantly below it.
Saint George partners with FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment to review every tuition assistance application. FACTS provides an independent analysis of each family's financial picture; every recommendation is then reviewed personally by the school before awards are finalized. The FACTS application is now open, and applying for aid never affects an admissions decision.

A word about what these steps feel like in practice. The FACTS application asks for basic financial documents — the kind you'd have for taxes — and your information stays confidential: FACTS analyzes it independently, and only the school's review of the recommendation follows.

If you take one thing from this page, let it be this: apply.
The families who benefit most from our aid program are often the ones who almost didn't ask — who assumed a Manhattan college-prep education wasn't possible for them, or that aid was reserved for someone else's situation.
In addition to need-based aid, Saint George offers merit scholarships for academic, artistic, and athletic ability, and takes 25% off tuition for families who serve New York City in government or nonprofit work.
Tuition is paid through flexible installment schedules spread across the school year.

A Final Word
We were founded to educate the children of families who arrived with very little and hoped for a great deal. That is still who we are. So before you decide what Saint George would cost your family, let us tell you what it would give your child: four years of being known by name, challenged by an internationally minded education, and prepared for college and for life in the middle of the greatest city in the world. The numbers are a conversation — and it's one we'd be glad to have. Come visit, call, or write. We'll take it from there.
